Why is Microsoft Access not working?
What's wrong with Microsoft Access?
One problem with Microsoft Access is that it has its own file format that isn't compatible with any other system. While Microsoft adopted an OpenDocument Format-compatible XML-based file structure for Excel and Word, it left the old file structure of Access alone.
Why can't I open MS Access?
Click the Start button and then click Run. Type Regedit, and then press Enter. You may run into the permissions issue anywhere from the GUID to the Retail key. If you run into the permissions issue on the GUID, you will then also need to repeat steps 4 – 10 on the 12.0 or 14.0 key as well as the Retail key.
How do I repair Microsoft Access?
Open the Access application. Select the Database Tools tab. Then click the Compact and Repair Database option on the tab. A Database to Compact From window will then open from which you can select a database file to repair.
