It sounds like you're using Private Browsing in Safari. Is the top border of the Safari screen gray? If it is, tap the overlapping boxes in the top right, then tap the word Private to turn it off.
What happened to my history on Safari?
Tap on the icon. Once you land on the safari page, scroll down to the bottom and tap on 'Advanced Option'. This will take you to the next screen and you will find website data. Tap on this link and you will find your deleted browser history on this page.
Why is my search history not showing up?
Your Chrome history has disappeared if the browser settings related to history weren't correct. To restore the history in Chrome, you can try to check the User data folder for previous versions. Switch to another browser and prevent this problem from happening again.
Why is there no history on Safari iPhone?
Settings -> Safari -> Clear History and Website Data -> Clear History and Data. Works for me. It was reported that the browser history can be seen by tapping on the bookmark tab in Safari, then tapping on the glasses tab on the right of that area. This will show your browsing history.
