Is SQL connection TCP or UDP?
The SQL Browser or the SQL Server Listener Service uses UDP. When an instance of SQL Server is set up, what TCP port it listens on depends. A default instance will be set up to listen on port 1433.
What port does SSIS use?
As you may know, SQL Server Integration Service when installed uses TCP Port 135 as the default port, hence you need to choose TCP option and then specify the port number as 135 as shown in the snippet below.
What port is SQL Server using?
By default SQL Server listens on TCP port number 1433, but for named instances the TCP port is dynamically configured.
