Default Sysadmin Rights The sysadmin fixed server role grants all members of the role full rights to the entire database engine. Anyone who is a member of the sysadmin fixed server role can do anything they want, and there is no way to stop them.

"Right click" the account that needs the SysAdmin Server Role granted. Select "Properties" from the options menu. When the Login Properties window is displayed for the selected user, select the "Server Roles" page. Check the "box next to sysadmin".
