What do you mean by an alternate key?
Alternate keys are those candidate keys which are not the Primary key. There can be only one Primary key for a table. Therefore all the remaining Candidate keys are known as Alternate or Secondary keys.
What is alternate key in SQL with example?
Alternate key is a secondary key it can be simple to understand by an example: Let's take an example of student it can contain NAME, ROLL NO., ID and CLASS. Here ROLL NO. is primary key and rest of all columns like NAME, ID and CLASS are alternate keys.
Where is the alternate key?
On all keyboards, the Alt key is located in the bottom row, directly to the left of the space bar. In addition, English-language keyboards have a second Alt key (one to the left and one to the right of the space bar) to support ten-finger typing. English-language keyboards have two Alt keys.
