Can you upgrade SQL Server 2017 to 2019?
Under the Service Accounts tab in the Server Configuration screen, you can define the account that you want to use to start the SQL Server 2017 or 2019 services. You do not have to change anything.
What is the difference between SQL Server 2017 and 2019?
In the SQL Server 2019 version, a new feature for cloud readiness is added. The previous version (i.e. 2016, 2017) was also able to backup and disaster recovery to azure. But this new version of SQL Server supports free asynchronous replication on Azure Virtual Machines for disaster recovery.
