How many rows can a SQLite table have?
The theoretical maximum number of rows in a table is 2^64 (18446744073709551616 or about 1.8e+19). This limit is unreachable since the maximum database size of 140 terabytes will be reached first.
Does SQLite have a limit?
An SQLite database is limited in size to 281 terabytes (248 bytes, 256 tibibytes). And even if it could handle larger databases, SQLite stores the entire database in a single disk file and many filesystems limit the maximum size of files to something less than this.
How do we limit which rows are returned by a query?
You use the LIMIT clause to constrain the number of rows returned by the query. For example, a SELECT statement may return one million rows. However, if you just need the first 10 rows in the result set, you can add the LIMIT clause to the SELECT statement to retrieve 10 rows.
How do I truncate a table in SQLite?
Unfortunately, we do not have TRUNCATE TABLE command in SQLite but you can use SQLite DELETE command to delete complete data from an existing table, though it is recommended to use DROP TABLE command to drop the complete table and re-create it once again.
