Press the Windows button + "R" to bring up the Windows "Run" feature. Type "cmd" into the "Open" field of the Run feature, then press "Enter." The DOS command prompt interface opens in a new window. Type "Hostname," minus the quotation marks. Press "Enter." Your computer's name displays in the DOS box. Tip.
