Do capital letters matter in SQL?
Keywords in SQL are case-insensitive for the most popular DBMSs. The computer doesn't care whether you write SELECT , select, or sELeCt ; so, in theory, you can write however you like.
Should I use all caps for SQL?
The SQL standard from 1992 required upper-case for keywords. Specifically, the list of reserved words is specified entirely in upper-case. See section 5.2 of the standard, ISO/IEC 9075:1992.
